ABOUT
Hi everybody. I’m a singer/guitarist/songwriter. I’ve been playing the Maryland, DC, Virginia area since I was a teenager and currently play about 70 shows a year. I perform solo, with my good friend Eric Wolf (lead guitar) in the Mike Mead & Eric Wolf Duo and The MIKE MEAD BAND. My biggest inspirations come from the 70’s era of music from artists like Elton John to Kiss to Led Zeppelin. I began gigging locally when I was 16 years old and played in many projects before becoming the front man of Frankie and the Actions with my good friend Frankie Clarke. My journey with music through the years has taken me so many places with great memories and meeting new people.
Currently, I’m doing my regular solo acoustic show. In addition to that, Eric Wolf (lead guitar) and I perform regularly as Mike Mead/Eric Wolf Duo.

Not much to blab on about. Just a few tidbits here, heading into the studio next week to start the recording of THE MESS, my next song. Dave Cornwell producing, Kevin Jones on drums, Eric Wolf on guitar, Dave Cornwell on guitar, myself on guitar and vocals, and returning to help us out once again, Eric Scott has agreed to play bass on this one. Thanks brother.
My music calendar is full. My bills are getting paid. My health is good (knock on wood)(hey, that rhymes). I’ve got my circle of peeps, my collection of souls and I’m looking forward to a great productive year and to seeing all of you !
