Hi everybody

It seems I’ve let two months go by since updating my site ! where does the time go ? Answer : away. here we are, freaking July ! Regarding my candy-ass’ health situation. Improvement for sure, three months out from spinal surgery. I did something a few weeks ago though that I think set me back or pulled a muscle on my right side, kinda rear flank (do people have a rear flank ?) I wore my cool fucking platform shoes for a band gig all night and the pictures came out great 1 Ha ha, but I’m still suffering. It seems to be subsiding, but if i bend forward or step a certain way, it stops me in my tracks. Then, I do a quasi, semi, tai-chi, weebles wobble, slithery type move to work out the chink, and I’m fine. for a while, Until the next time. I’ve not been doing my dumbbell routine, out of respect for my surgeon lol, however I’m feeling like it’s time to start back light. PT is just about wrapping up and I have to wear this stimfix ortho something or other bone stimulator belt for two hours a day until about February 2026. It’s supposed to be stimulating healing or some shit. I don’t feel a thing when I’m wearing it. Trying to watch the diet and make good choices in most areas of my life lol, again. NOW THEN…

The Mike Mead Band had three gigs last month, they were super fun and we’re looking forward to getting to ALWAYS working a new song or two into the set list and bringing you the best value for your entertainment dollar ! I don’t really like to get the merch going until I’m sure this thing will be around long enough. Yes, my bandmates can read this. In my heart, I really feel that Eric, Mike, Ronnie and I have got something that we all believe in, and we seem to have the same level of dedication and commitment to the project. Thanks guys. I’m not an evil tyrant, I’m a nice tyrant.

My solo performances continue to be the heart and soul of my bread and butter. They are always fun and relaxing lately. Come out and and see me if you can.

The Mike Mead/Eric Wolf Duo is just behind that, schedule wise.

Playing music with Eric these last ten years has been nothing short of a joy and a pleasure. Friendship and musical camaraderie of the highest order. My confidante, my musical sounding board, the voice of reason to my lunatic musical whims. He’s a great thoughtful guitarist and a TRUE LOVER OF JUST FUCKING GOOD SONGS. So please come and let this guy drop your jaw with his renditions of Pink Floyd and Zeppelin solos. The duo is a bit more lively.

So now the band is gonna be sprinkled in there a bit and I plan on, of course playing locally, but also maintaining a presence in a few other nearby markets. That takes bugging people I don’t know until they open the door that first time. It’s a process. Doable.

I guess that’s it for now.
