Hi everybody. I’m a singer/guitarist/songwriter. I’ve been playing the Maryland, DC, Virginia area since I was a teenager and currently play about 70 shows a year. I perform solo, with my good friend Eric Wolf (lead guitar) in the Mike Mead & Eric Wolf Duo and The MIKE MEAD BAND. My biggest inspirations come from the 70’s era of music from artists like Elton John to Kiss to Led Zeppelin. I began gigging locally when I was 16 years old and played in many projects before becoming the front man of Frankie and the Actions with my good friend Frankie Clarke. My journey with music through the years has taken me so many places with great memories and meeting new people.

Currently, I’m doing my regular solo acoustic show. In addition to that, Eric Wolf (lead guitar) and I perform regularly as Mike Mead/Eric Wolf Duo.

12/24/2025 CHRISTMAS EVE

Well, here we are. Christmas Eve. I’m a person who LIVES by his day planner, so it’s easy to measure the time flying by. I’m at the end of my yearly planner. I have to flip all the way to the end ! Shit ! As we get older the time flies faster.

To all the souls in my collection (you) if you’ve followed me, I’ve certainly had a year, but no more or less than anyone else. One comes to realize this shit. My spinal surgery came and went. I still have aches and pains, but the real pain has been treated. After living a life of rock and roll and partying without a thought, the name of the game now is health and well being.

As you may or may not know, Mom passed away on October 25th. There’s definitely a void. I’m transitioning into a new phase and I intend to make the most and best of it. The solo, duo and band are keeping me busy plus the day job. I’m keeping this short and sweet. From the bottom of my heart, Merry Christmas everyone and Happy New Year !

I guess that’s it for now. Stay safe. Hold your loved ones close and hug em tight.
